Project Facts

Key No. 11007

Description

As part of the I-84 widening from Garrity to Meridian, the Idaho Transportation Department is reconstructing the bridges at Robinson Boulevard and Black Cat Road.  The old bridge columns were too close together to safely allow additional lanes on I-84.

To maximize effciency, both bridges are being constructed adjacent to I-84 and will be moved into place by a heavy-duty transporter.

Schedule

Work began in September 2008 and is expected to be complete in Spring 2009.  The bridges are expected to re-open in early 2009.

Background

Graham Construction and Management is the contractor for the I-84, Robinson and Black Cat Bridge reconstruction.  The project is part of the I-84 expansion from Nampa to Meridian, which began in early 2008.

Funding
