The Westbound Eagle Road Off-ramp project widens the westbound I-84 off-ramp onto Eagle Road. The completed off-ramp begins 1,600 feet sooner on I-84 at the Ridenbaugh Canal. The improved off-ramp includes double right and double left-turn lanes for turning north and south onto Eagle Road.
The new off-ramp prevents vehicles from backing up onto the interstate shoulder while trying to exit and allows for better turning movements onto Eagle Road.

ITD conducted the Eagle Road Arterial Study in 2003 to determine ways to increase safety, manage traffic more efficiently between the I-84 off-ramps and Idaho 44 (State Street).

Construction of the westbound Eagle Road off-ramp improvements is funded through the initial GARVEE bonds that were approved by the 2006 Legislature. Construction of the off-ramp was completed in September 2007.

Compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act

The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is committed to compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related regulations and directives. ITD assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, gender, age, or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any ITD service, program, or activity. The department also assures that every effort will be made to prevent discrimination through the impacts of its programs, policies, and activities on minority and low-income populations. In addition, the department will take reasonable steps to provide meaningful access to services for persons with Limited English Proficiency.
